SPORT AT SCHOOL
Sports plays a crucial role in our lives. Sport teaches us teamwork, perseverance and develops stamina. I have PE classes twice a week. There we develop our fitness level, quickness and motor skills. I do love playing volleyball with my friends. It is not only good for health but is also a great way to spend time with my classmates and have fun.
I believe we have good sports facilities at school. There is a gym, a basketball court, a swimming pool, and a football pitch.
Sometimes we have school and regional sports competitions. I don't usually take part in them, because I feel shy and not trained enough to show a good performance. My friend wants to be a professional sportswoman. Competitions are a great opportunity for her to show her skills and earn a good portfolio for university and olympiads.
Unfortunately, there are also some problems at our school. To start with the fact that we don't have showers to refresh ourselves after classes. If we had them, more students would enjoy PE classes. On top of that, we don't have enough time to rest after sports. I believe it affects negatively our discipline. We tend to get more distracted.
Apart from school, I go dancing salsa at the weekend. It is a nice social dance, which helps me to develop flexibility and grace. Besides, it is a great way to meet new people.
Overall, I find myself quite fit, but I wish I had more time to do sports.
