Note: Stative Verbs. Глаголы, не употребляющиеся во временах группы Progressive:

see, hear, smell, feel, taste, agree, believe, forgive, hate, like, love, appear (= seem), be, belong, have (= possess), know, need, prefer, require, want, wish, etc.

He has a pet dog (= he owns).

He's having dinner now (= he's eating).

Some Stative Verbs (see, smell, taste, feel, think, etc) have progressive forms but there is a difference in meaning.
