Defining the Essential Question

Challenger and provocateur.

Teacher helps the students to define the essential question and listen their opinions.

Try to define EQ.

They discuss with each other and with teacher. Define the problem questions.

Forming the groups and plan of the project

Ally and neutral facilitator.

The teacher helps students to formulate their project objectives, draw up the schedule, create the project the title and define the form of presenting results.

Help students generate ideas.

Students make mini – groups. They create an essential question. Design a timeline. Create objectives, project title. Define possible sources of information. Distribute responsibilities among teammates.

Investigation

The teacher guides the students by asking questions and negotiating meanings with them. The teacher monitors the students’ strategy for solving the problem. Teacher consults and discusses with students

Students share responsibilities among each other.

St1 and St2 creating a poster.

St3 and St4 responsible to find relevant information and sources.

St5 conduct a survey.

St6, St7 responsible to make a presentation.

They make self-assessment and peer-assessment.

Presentation

Adviser and tutor. Teacher observes and gives the advice for students. The teacher will give an indication of correction

Students show the poster, produce results of the survey, presentation for the project, show the conclusion of the project work.

Evaluation of the results

Teacher makes assessment of the project work. The teacher evaluates the work of students. Discuss their impressions from the project and experiences.
