The Halloween Party

Внеклассное мерприятие для учащихся 7-9 классов

Цель мероприятия: развитие познавательного интереса учащихся к истории и культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Задачи:1.Знакомство с традициями празднования Хеллоуин в англо-говорящих странах;

2.Развитие навыков устной речи.

3.Развитие творческих способностей учащихся.

Оборудование: лист календаря, рисунки с символами праздника, парад костюмов, музыкальное оформление.

Ход мероприятия:

Teacher: Good afternoon, boys and girls! Today we have a party devoted to the popular holiday “Halloween”. Welcome to our Halloween Celebration!

The 1^st pupil: Halloween is one of the most attractive holidays for children/People celebrate Halloween on the 31^st of October. Halloween colours are orange and black. During the early years of Christianity grown ups and children celebrated halloween with games and bonfires.

The 2^nd pupil: As time went by, grown ups lost interest in the holiday, and it was mostly celebrated by children. They dressed as witches, demons, and other evil spirits. After the carnival they visited nearby houses and asked for candies:” Trick or treat!” In recent years grown ups have begun taking part in Halloween.

Учащиеся смотрят презентацию посвященную этому празднику.

( На сцене –группа учащихся)

P1: Halloween is coming.

What will you wear?

P2: I might wear a blanket

And be a brown bear.

P1: Halloween is coming.

Who will you meet?

P3: I might meet a princess

Skipping down the street.

P1: Halloween is coming.

What will you do?

P4: I might go trick or treating

How about you?

P1: Halloween is coming.

What will you be?

P2: I might be a pirate

On the deep blue sea.

P1: Halloween is coming.

What will you see?

P3: I might see Jack-o’-Lantern

Winking at me.

P1: Halloween is coming.

What will you be?

P4: It is a big secret,

So, wait and see!

( С шумом и крикамина сцену выходит старая ведьма с метлой в руках и привидение)

Whitch: Hello, friends! How are you? We haven’t seen each other for a whole year. Are you glad to meet us today?

Ghost: You are so smart and beautifully dressed today, ready for merrymaking! Can you clap? Let’s clap! Can you stamp? Let’s stamp! Can you shout “wow-wow”?

Whitch: Clap, stamp, and shout, while you meet our friends coming.

( выбегают скелеты, летучие мыши, привидения и всякие злые духи)

Whitch: I invite all of you to my house. ( подходят к дому с вывеской “Welcome to the Spook House!”We’ll have some fun for Halloween.

A party, a very fine party!

Whom shall we ask to come?

Bat: Let’s invite the pupils of the 8^th form! ( ученики 8го класса поднимаются на сцену)

Whitch: Don’t be afraid of me. I have a task for you. You see sheets of paper. On each of them there is a part of sentence. You have to join them correctly and read aloud.

( ученики берут разрезанные части предложений и составляют текст)

Пример предложения: We’ve gathered together for our Halloween Party.We want you to enjoy the party, to be merry and jolly.

Ghost: You are right. So try to do the next task.I want to ask you about Jack –O’-Lantern. What do you know about him ?( на сцену приглашаются учащиеся 9го класса).

Pupil: I know a poem about him. Now, listen!

The Jack-O-Lantern chuckled

Then winked his funny eye,

“I’d rather be a pumpkin face

Than be inside a pie!”

Jolly Wolly pumpkin face

You’re happy tell us why.

I’d rather be a pumpkin face

And not a pumpkin pie!

Ghost: It is a nice poem. I was glad to listen to. But I would like you to tell me a scary stories. Every year I enjoy them very much.

Pupils: We write such stories for the Halloween every year. This year is not exception.

( учащиеся 8го класса в кругу читают стих-страшилку)

1.A cold, cold night

A brown,brown owl

A grey, grey wolf

A red,red howl.

2.A big,big house

In a black, black street

An open door

Two white,white feet.

3. Up,up, up

Toa pink, pink door

Two white, white feet

On the orange floor.

4. A green,green tree

A blue,blue sky

In the yellow moon

A purple cry.

5. Down, down, down

Down the stais and out

Stay in bed tonight

There’s a ghoust about!

Ghost: How interesting! You are brilliant! I’ll move to your school to live behind the blackboard at the classs 8.

( выбегают дьяволята и разговаривают между собой)

Devil1: What a night! What a night!

Devil 2: The best we have ever had!

Devil 3: I’ve scared seventeen children1

Devil4: I tied tin cans to ten dog’s tails!

Ghost: Come on, devils. I have a Halloween quiz and I want to see what interesting facts children know about our holiday.

Ghost: How smart you are! You all deserve prises.( раздают учащимся сувенирные открытки с автографами).

(Появляется утренняя звезда)

Morning Star: The night is ending

The day is descending;

Through clouds like ashes

The red sun flashes ( включают свет, все актеры выходят на сцену, звучит музыка).
