Turkey is a wonderful country

THE TURKEY REPUBLIC was established on October 29, 1923,

under the firm control and leadership of Mustafa Kemal.

Turkey has the population of 70 million people.

Istanbul;

Ankara, the capital,

Izmir,

Adana,

Antalya.

There are numerous lakes and some of them as, for example Lake Van,

are as large as inland seas.

In the north, the Eastern Black Sea Mountain chain

lies parallel to the Black Sea;

in the south there are Taurus Mountains.

Turkey has Mediterranean climate

with cool, rainy winters

and hot, moderately dry summers

During the last years, Turkey has become a

main tourist centre in Europe.

With the development of both

summer and winter resorts,

more and more people from around the world are able to enjoy the history,

culture, and beautiful sights of Turkey.

This country has one of the

richest Cuisines in the world

but a poor restaurant culture .
