Формирование функциональной грамотности у учащихся на уроках английского языка

Проанализировав задания из учебника, можно найти примеры, как сформировать следующие направления функциональной грамотности на уроках английского языка:

1. Формирование финансовой грамотности. Тема: How responsible are you with your money?

-Мотивация (начало урока). Look at the quote «A wise man should have money in his head, but not in his heart. Jonathan Swift». How do you understand this statement? Try to explain this quote and name the topic of our discussion today.

-Повторение лексики (речевая зарядка).

На карточках даны фразы\слова: pocket money, lend money, borrow money, spend money, coin, note, change, earn money.

Take the card. Try to explain the meaning of the word. The one who guesses goes next.

-Работа в группах. Divide into two groups.

1.Let's play associations. Each team names words that they associate with money.

2. Next task. The first group names the advantages of being rich, and the second the disadvantages

-Аудирование.

-Работа в парах.

Now I’d like you to make little dialogues. you want a new phone. Ask a friend for advice on how to get it. Ask your parents? Save up pocket money? Try to earn money?

-Дискуссия по заданию из учебника на стр.40.

Let’s read the six situations, then answer the question and give an argument. If someone doesn’t agree, give your argument. Answer honestly.

-Рефлексия.

Let's go back to the quote «A wise man should have money in his head, but not in his heart. Jonathan Swift». Can you agree with the author? Is it necessary to treat money responsibly? What can’t buy money?

1. Формирование естественнонаучной грамотности. Тема: «Tropical rainforests».

-Мотивация (начало урока). Listen to the recording. Tell me what sounds do you hear? What do you feel? Where is this place? Suppose what is the topic of our lesson today.

-Речевая зарядка. Look at the pictures. What can you say about the tropical rainforest? What facts do you know? What associations can you name?

-Работа над текстом на стр.77.

1)Предтекстовой (Pre-reading). We have already found out that you have a lot to say about the rainforest. But it is always useful to expand your knowledge and the text in the textbook on page 77 help us with this.

There are a lot of new words in the text, look at them, let's read them. ( humid - влажный, divide - разделять, layer - слой, understorey - подлесок, canopy – поросль молодых деревьев, emergent – верхушки деревьев, stick out – торчать, высовываться, tree bark – кора дерева, cough - кашель, mixture - микстура, allow – позволять, разрешать, act – действовать, fuel - топливо, grow - расти, mahogany wood – красное дерево, rattan - ротанг, renew – обновлять, resin – смола).

Look at the text, each paragraph has a question. Before reading, let's try to answer them. Listen to the text and check your answers. Read the text.

2) Текстовый (While-eading).

• Find in the text those facts which can be used for the annotation.

• Range the facts given in the text according to the extent of their importance.

• Add some facts without changing the structure of the text.

• Try to explain the words in bold in the text

• Pick up synonyms: humid – hot and damp, divided – separated, layers – levels, allow – let, canopy - new growth, emergent - tree crowns, atmosphere - environment

• Make sentences with 5 words

3) Послетекстовый (Post-reading).

После прохождения темы, ученикам предлагается разработать свой проект на тему переработки ex.5.

- Recycling and its relevance in the modern world (Переработка и ее значение в современном мире).

- Comparison of waste recycling in Russia and the UK (Сравнение переработки мусора в России и Великобритании).

2. The practical part (Практическая часть).

- Make a list of what you recycle (Составь список того, что перерабатываешь ты).

- What effective ways of recycling can you offer? (Какие эффективные способы переработки можешь предложить ты).
