• Once there were fields through which the Roman road, connecting this region with Colchester (which at the time of laying the road was larger than London) was going. After the transfer of the royal court from the Tower to Westminster in the 16th century, the fields began to build up cheap houses in which a poor population settled.

• On this street for many centuries there were places of public executions, so there were few people who wanted to live here, and the buildings began to be used for shops.

HISTORY OF CREATION

• This street, compared to the others in the center, is dirty, mainly because of the crowded nature. There is not worth it - for the same reason: with such a huge flow of people there is no need to try and keep a high quality, then anyone will buy it. If you still want to eat right here, then it's better to go to a cafe at some big department store such as "John Lewis", they monitor the quality of food. There are also many network restaurants such as McDonald's, coffee shops, etc
