Внеклассное мероприятие "Christmas"

ЦЕЛИ:

• Активизировать знания учащихся по темам «Рождество», «Цвета», «Числительные»;

• развивать умения работать в группе и представлять результаты совместной работы;

• развивать память, внимание, мышление, языковую догадку;

• повышать мотивацию к изучению ИЯ

ОБОРУДОВАНИЕ: телевизор, компьютер (ноутбук), раздаточный материал, карточки по теме “Christmas”.

Ход мероприятия:

Dear boys and girls! Today you are having an English competition. I’m sure you know much about Russian holidays. Today we’ll talk about English holidays. You’ll listen to some information about them and do some exercises.  There are 2 teams. Let me introduce them. The 1^st team is “Gingerbread Man”. (Ученик выходит и читает стихотворение, другой ученик показывает эмблему команды).

The 2^nd team is “Rudolph”. (происходит то же самое).

Christmas (выступление подготовленного ученика)

On the 25th of December there is the greatest holiday of all in England – Christmas. People send X-mas cards to their friends and relatives. People buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, color balls and lights. 
Children wake up early to find stockings full of small presents on their bed.

• The 1^st task is “Proverbs”. (Задание: найти английский эквивалент для русской пословицы).

• East or west, home is best

• A friend in need is a friend indeed

• Art is long, life is short

• Task № 2 is to do the crossword and read the secret message.

Task № 3 is to read the text. (часть текста зашифрована в картинки. Задача детей: правильно назвать слова и прочитать его. Учащимся раздаются распечатки с зашифрованным текстом. Проверка проводится с помощью презентации).

One little apple on a tree,

• You have some cards with different Christmas trees. Your task is to do sums.

The snow is falling,

The wind is blowing,

The ground is white

All day and all night.

Santa needs to know what time to deliver gifts to different houses. Your task is to write the time shown on the clock face.

• Winter is always white. Let’s paint it into different colours. (Детям предлагаются карточки, в которых необходимо правильно расставить буквы, чтобы получились названия цветов.

Winter is snowy,

Winter is frosty,

The ground is white

All day and all night.

This is the season

When children can ski,

Play snowballs

And dance round

The New Year Tree!

• In winter we have a lot of fun. You have some sentences on the card but they are mixed. Your task is to put the words in order.

• And the last task for our captains is Memory Game.

Now our completion is over. The jury calls the score. You are all the winners. We were glad to see you at our small party. Thank you very much. You are well done.
