It is the famous clock. It is a real bell. You can hear its deep tone on the BBC. People say that it is a face of London.
Buckingham Palace
It’s the home of the British royal family in London.
Outside the palace we can watch a colorful ceremony of the Changing of the Guard.
St. Paul’s Cathedral
It is a fine cathedral in central London. It was built by Sir Christopher Wren.
Westminster Abbey
It is a large gothic church. It was built in the eleventh century. Almost all kings and queens were crowned there. Many famous British people buried there.
The Tower of London
It is a fortress, it was a royal palace and a prison. Now it is a museum.
The Houses of Parliament
It is the seat of the British Parliament
The Tower Bridge
It is the best-known bridge. It was built in 1897. This bridge is across the Thames.
London Eye
One of the favourite tourist attractions is London Eye. It’s one of the largest Ferris wheels in the world.
Trafalgar Square
It is the most well-known square, it is the geographical center of London.
In the middle of the square there is a statue of Lord Nelson( Nelson’s Column)
Museums
The British museum- the biggest museum in London.
The Tate Gallery is one of the well-known galleries in London.
The National Gallery is an art museum on Trafalgar Square in London. It houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900.
