Prekrasnaya Gavan' (Tarhankut)

Tarhankut is national pride of the citizens of the Crimea.

Prekrasnaya Gavan‘ is a national nature park of the Crimea. The Park is located on the West of Tarhankut cape (мыс).

At the Cape, there is a lighthouse (маяк), small villages Mayak and Olenevka.

The coast to the North-East and South-East of the Cape is steep and rocky, the beaches do not exist.

The North-East part of the Tarkhankut is called Dzhangul, South-East - Atlesh.

Atlesh is located on the very scenic cliffs.

Prekrasnaya Gavan' was founded in December, 2009 for saving unique steppes and seaside coast and their animals and plants. Tarhankut is a palace of wild nature. Local citizens do their best to protect it.

The feature of climate

The feature of climate is large number of sunny days a year. Another feature of the local climate is its unpredictability (непредсказуемость). In winter it is windy and cold. In addition, the weather is -20°C. In summer it is sunny and warm. The weather is +30°C.

The feature of Tarhankut cape is clear and transparent (прозрачная) water, diversity (многообразие) of ocean animals. More than 70 species of animals live in the prairies of Prekrasnaya Gavan`. Many ocean animals are rare. They are listed in the Red Book - violet carpenter bee, warty crab etc.

Tourism

The territory of the park is popular with local citizens. In addition, it is popular for tourists from mainland. Tarhankut cape is known for its borders. It`s an important place for diving enthusiasts. Every year thousands diving enthusiasts gather here from Russia and neighboring countries.

Alley of Leaders

The underwater museum "Alley of Leaders" was opened in 1992 at the depth (глубина) of 12 meters with more 50 exhibits (экспонаты). There are sculptures of politicians, such as Lenin, sculptures of cultural figures, for example, Pushkin. The Museum was founded by Donetsk diver Vladimir Buromenskiy. He brought several busts of the Soviet leaders, and his case was continued by other enthusiasts.

If you want to spend some time in the park, you should explore the territory of the park. There are five trails for tourism, two trails for bicycle and three trekking trails.

The Bowl of Love

The Bowl of Love is a sight of Prekrasnaya Gavan`. This nature swimming pool looks like a heart. Lonely people who come here are said to meet their second half.

In addition, the films were made near the bowl. They are "Amphibian Man", "Men and Dolphins", "Pirates of the 20th Century".
