Good afternoon, boys and girls. Take your seats, please. Today we are going to take a trip to very lovely places. I’m sure you’ll like them. But first of all in order to know the theme of our lesson let's solve a crossword.

1. tsunami- a huge wave caused by an earthquake which flows onto land
2. flood- large amount of water that covers an area which is usually dry

3. avalanche- a large mass of snow falling down the side of a mountain

4. drought- a period of time with no rain

5. smog- mixture of fog and smoke

6. cyclone- a violent tropical storm in which the air goes round and round

7. hurricane- an extremely violent wind or storm 

8. earthquake- a shaking of the ground

As you see the theme of our lesson is monuments and especially monuments which are in danger.
