Lesson objectives:

All learners will be able to: make up personal statements concerning their own daily routine using cardinal numbers to say about the time of the day with lots of support

Most learners will be able to: make up personal statements concerning their own daily routine using cardinal numbers to say about the time of the day with some support

Some learners will be able to: make up personal statements concerning their own daily routine using cardinal numbers to say about the time of the day without support

In order to elicit the new words I will show the video. The video contains information about daily routine activities.

After this video my learners will be able to say time in English.

Differentiation by learning style: I will show the video to visual learners. Audial learners will listen to their speech. Kinesthetic learners show the time using the clock in the classroom.

Formative assessment: Teacher gives feedback orally (Well done /good job).

Here I will divide the learners into 2 groups. I will give worksheets to each group. When learners perform the task, they will use the following words and expressions as:

Past. To. Quarter. Half past.

Group A

Group B

Formative assessment: I will give sticky notes.

A learner:

• writes the time shown in the worksheet;

Differentiation by task: in this task Group A will define the time instructed by the teacher. Group B write the time shown in the worksheet.
