Theme: Big Ben Big Ben is the nickname for the great bell in the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, [1] and is often extended to apply to the clock and the clock tower. [2] Tower officially known as Elizabeth Tower, renamed such to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II (to be renamed in 2012, he was known simply as "The Clock Tower"). The tower is the second largest in the four faced chiming clock in the world (Minneapolis City Hall was the first). [3] as the tower was built in 1858 and had its 150th anniversary May 31, 2009, [4], during which celebratory events took place. [5] [6] The tower has become one of the most famous symbols of the United Kingdom and often in establishing shot of films set in London.
