What is Informal style?

As for the informal vocabulary, we can say that it is used in someone's definite circle: colleagues, family, relatives and friends. People use it when they are at home or when they feel like at home.

Informal words generally divided into three groups: colloquial, dialect words and slang.

Informal style is relaxed, familiar, free and easy and unpretending. It's important to note that the informal talk of well-educated people certainly will differ from that of the semi-educated or illiterate. A person who lives in a province will use certain regional words and expressions. The vocabulary of adults differs from teenagers'.

The choice of words is exact in each particular case not only by a situation, but also by speakers's age, education and cultural background, his occupation and regional features.
