Grades: 7 V and 7 B Date: 19. 11. 2020
I .Aims of the lesson:
Educational aims: to present integration skills
to give freer practice revising and improving pupils English
Developing aims: to enable pupils to improve knowledge of English;
to develop their grammar accuracy, listening and speaking skills;
to enable pupils to practice the new words.
to check and compete classes.
Pedagogical aims: to make interaction between 7 V and 7 B by organizing group
work.
Moral training: to teach pupils love to Motherland and respect their
native land.
II. Types of the lesson: oral, traditional, mixed (combined) lesson
III. The methods of the lesson: interactive, grammar translation, group work, miming, matching, guessing.
IV. The aids of the lesson: computer, tape recorder, cards, posters, handouts,
Projector, pictures, books and grammar guides.
Procedure of the lesson: Our class was devoted to celebrate New Year. The lesson was held as competition between 7 a and 7 b grades to clarify and check their acquired knowledge. The lesson was battle and for this battle we invited parents from each class to maintain their children.
The lesson was used power point game “Catch a Butterfly”. There are twelve butterflies in the game which consist of questions and tasks. If the group choose a butterfly with question and answer correctly, they get 5 point oppositely they get 0 point. But the butterflies with tasks are for both groups, who will be the first that can get points.
Activity1. Word search task.
Objective: For this task we need one member and one parent from each group. And, they will be given a minute. During this time they should find words belong New Year and Christmas. Which group will be first can get high score. Our winner was class 7 B.
Activity 2. “Secret message” task.
Objective: For our battle lesson we invited Santa as a guest but he couldn’t come however he sent us message. It is not ordinary message, we couldn’t read it. So their task will be to define the letter. By this activity we know how you are good at math. For the task we need 2 members from groups. Our winners were “Future stars” members.
Activity 3: Task “Mime the picture”.
Objective: Three participants took part at this task. Their aim will be to pantomime the photo on the screen of projector. One participant will mime others should guess what word hidden on the screen. They will be given 2 minutes.
During the battle “Smart Winners” and “Future Stars” answered these questions:
What is Black and White and read all over the world?
Everybody wear a school uniform in your school,…..?
didn’t you? b)don’t they? c) aren’t it?
When was born Charlie Chaplin?
Find key words of Present Perfect Tense.
Find internal organs.
What does symbolize an Australian bird kookaburra Olly?
Activity 4. Battle of group leaders.
Objective: At least our long-expected guest Santa came to our lesson. The last task was given by him for our group leaders. Santa’s task includes simple questions. Which leader replied first get point for each answer. If he or she couldn’t answer, must eat slice of lemon as a punishment.
What ingredients do we need to cook palov?
How many seasons in a year?
What color is the crab’s blood?
When do Americans celebrate Christmas?
What colors are there in our national flag?....so on
Conclusion.
Assessment: According to the activeness and efforts, taking much points at the tasks and answering the questions the group “Future Stars” conquered the victory at the battle lesson. And 7 A class was our winner. We awarded the group participants with certificates.
Homework: Revise all units.
