Тема: Рассказ о Лондоне.
Целu урока:
совершенствование лексических навыков по теме «Лица Лондона»;
активизация навыков устной речи по теме «Лондон»;
тренировка навыков аудирования и вопросно-ответной работы
Оборудование: транскрипционные значки.
Ход урока
Организационный момент
Цель: настроить учащихся на доброжелательное общение на английском языке, ознакомить с целями урока.
- Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning, Marina Vladimirovna!)
- I аm glad to seу you. (We are glad to see you too.)
- How аrе you'? (We аrе finе, thаnk you, and how are you?)
- I'm fine, thank you.
- Who is absent today? (All pupils are present.
- And ,who is оn duty today'? (Kate is оn duty today.)

- Last week we have read the stories about some places of interest in the capital of Great Britain. Listen to me and try to guess what place I will describe. Keep your books closed.
- Visiting this place you can act in a Hollywood Western, select a film to watch or even draw your own cartoon film. During your visit you can also meet characters from the past. You will enjoy your visit to this place. (The Museum of the Moving Image.)
- It is the oldest London park. It is very beautiful with its trees and flower beds and views of Buckingham Palace. (St. James Park)
- The park is the property of the Royal family. It is famous for its outdoor entertainments and its Speaker’s Corner. On a Sunday morning you can make a speech about something you believe to be very important. (Hide Park)
- It’s one of the sights of London. You can meet great characters of history and art there. Actors, film stars, pop singers and sportsmen come face to face with famous politicians. It has one of the largest collections of wax models in the world.
- You can find London Zoo and a boating lake in this park. In summer you can enjoy Shakespeare’s plays in the open-air theatre. (Regent’s Park)

Is there a special place for the Queen’s family in this museum? (Yes, there is. There is a special place for the Queen’s family: the Queen, her husband, children and other members of the Royal family)
Is it interesting to visit the Museum of the Moving Image? Why? (It’s very interesting to visit the Museum of the Moving Image because the history and magic of cinema and TV is explained there. Visitors can take an active part in the film or TV programme, draw their own cartoon, ask any questions about the time in history from which the characters come.)
Is London rich in parks and gardens? (Yes, it’s. London is very rich in parks and gardens.)
Where can you see the statue of the famous fairy-tale hero Peter Pen? (We can see Peter Pen in Kensington garden).
Are parks free in the capital of the UK? (Yes, they are. Parks are free in London).
What can you do in the park? (You can walk among old trees, relax, admire flowers and plants, play tennis, swim and ride a horse.)
What parks belong to the Royal family? (Hyde Park, Green Park? St. James Park, Regent`s Park belong to the Royal family.)
What London park would you like to visit and why? (I would like to visit….)
At home you will choose two or three interesting places of London from the text and prove that they are worth visiting.
Учитель объясняет учащимся домашнее задание : выбрать 2-3 достопримечательности Лондона и доказать, что их стоит посетить.
Физкультминутка.
Совершенствование лексических навыков
Учитель организует выполнение упр.13 с.82 из учебника. Учащиеся по цепочке записывают словосочетания и переводят их. Учитель может провести игру «Аукцион» при выполнении второй части упражнения , за каждое правильно составленное предложение со словосочетанием упр.13, с.82 ученик получает жетон. В конце игры учащиеся подсчитывают жетоны и выявляют победителя.
Тренировка устной речи по теме «Лондон»
- Now we shall work in groups of four. The task for you is to think of 5 nouns, 5 verbs and 5 adjectives to describe London. You will have three minutes to do the task. Then we shall listen to your variants. (Ex. 14-16, p. 83)
Итог урока.
- Do you like our lesson today? What do you like to do? It’s time to say “good-bye”.
