Цель урока:

  • обобщение знаний учащихся по теме "At Home";

  • совершенствование и контроль монологической речи( 6-7 пред-й)

  • закрепление навыков употребления конструкций There is / There are …

  • тренировка употребления предлогов места ( in, on, in front of, opposite, next to, near)

Задачи урока

1. Образовательная:

  • углубить и расширить знания учащихся по пройденной теме.

  • учить понимать иностранную речь в игровых ситуациях.

2. Развивающие:

  • развить навыки аудирования иноязычной речи;

  • активизировать навыки говорения;

  • закрепить грамматические навыки;

  • развивать умение применения полученных знаний в конкретной обстановке.

3. Воспитательная:

  • повысить мотивацию учащихся к изучению иностранного языка, воспитывая этические нормы жилища.

I. The beginning of the lesson.

T: Good morning, dear children! I am glad to see you.

I hope you are fine and we’ll have an interesting lesson today!


II. Объявление темы урока.

T : At the lesson we’ll speak about our house, where we live and other different houses. We’ll revise prepositions of the place and structures There is / There are …. At the end of the lesson you’ll try to be designers and describe a flat in the picture.

Let’s begin our lesson with the warming up! Read the poem on your sheets ex. Number 1.

T: This room is not very large. We take a shower or have a bath in this room. You can clean your teeth, wash your hands and face there.

T: There is a wall-unit, some armchairs and a sofa in this room. We can see some flowers . There is a carpet on the floor. It is usually the largest room in the house. People watch television, listen to music, or sit around and speak there.

T: There is a bed in this room. You can see a little desk and a wardrobe there. People have a rest in this room.

(A bedroom)

T: People can prepare breakfast, dinner or supper in this room. Women usually spend much time there. We have a fridge, a table, a cooker and a cupboard in this room.

You have a new flat. This is your room. Furnish it. Put your things in the room in the way you want them to stand and then describe this room.

T: I am sorry but our lesson is coming to an end. You have worked hard today and all of you will get good marks.

But at the end I would like to know: What have you learnt at the lesson today? What was more interesting for you ?

P: I liked to be a designer.

P: I’d like to decorate the room.

T: Could you be a good designer?

But not all people like to live in the typical houses, some people prefer to live in unusual houses. I would like you to watch a short video and answer my questions. What kind of house does Mr. Truman Howell prefer to live? What kind of rooms are there in his boathouse? What can you see in his bedroom? ( a bed, a chest of drawers ) What can you see in his kitchen?(cupboards, a cooker, flowers, atable, chairs) What can you see in his living room?(a round table, 2 armchairs, a lamp, cupboards, chest of drawers)
