Конспект урока английского языка в 9 классе.

Аннотация.

Социокультурный аспект данного урока направлен на ознакомление учащихся с системой школьного образования Великобритании. Использование информационно-коммуникационных технологий на уроке дает большие возможности наглядного предъявления материала. Учитель готовит вопросы по содержанию предлагаемых сайтов, с помощью этих вопросов направляется поисковая деятельность учащихся. В конце работы учащимся задан один более общий вопрос на целостное понимание темы. Сравнивая школы, учащиеся выделяют общее и специфичное, что способствует объединению, развитию доброго отношения к стране, ее людям, традициям.

Учебник: «Английский язык» под редакцией В.П. Кузовлева

Тип урока: комбинированный

Задачи:

образовательная: формировать лексико–грамматические навыки говорения и чтения;

развивать умение читать c целью извлечения конкретной

информации, развивать навыки поискового чтения,

знакомить с системой образования Великобритании;

развивающая: развивать навыки работы с ресурсами сети Интернет,

навыки коммуникационной и информационной культуры;

воспитательная: формировать толерантное отношение к другой культуре

1.Организационный момент.

Teacher: Good-morning!

T: As you become older you realize that there are several essential things and places you always want to come back to. They are your birthplace, your home and the school you went to. You are the pupils of the secondary comprehensive school. What do you think of your school?

Pupils: It`s a place where you make friends

which helps you to find a good job in the future

where it`s fun

where you learn about people

where you pass exams

where you write tests

where you can learn about the rest of the world etc

T: I agree with you. I also think that the main task of school is to educate.

T: Today we are going to speak about school education in Britain. We`ll learn much about different types of schools, you`ll search for information in the Internet and speak about British schools. So the topic of the lesson is “Schools in Britain”.

T: The education system in the UK is not easy to understand. Let`s interpret the table which is given in ex.1 on p. 128.

T: Look through the text on p.196 and answer my questions:

2. What kind of school is a comprehensive school?

3. What kind of school is a boarding school?

4. Are private schools expensive or cheap?

5. What kinds of kindergartens are there in Britain?

6. Is secondary education compulsory for all children?

7. What kind of school is grammar school?

T: Make up a summary of what you’ve learnt about the education system in GB.

Look through this web-site and find necessary information. Schooling in the UK differs from schooling in Russia. Answer the questions and find the differences. Compare schools in Britain and in Russia.
