Урок «Let’s celebrate» («Праздники»)
Цель урока:
Развитие языковой компетентности учащихся по теме «Праздники»
Задачи:
практические - активизировать знания, умения и навыки учащихся по теме; учить логически строить высказывание на основе прослушанной и переработанной информации.
развивающие – развивать кругозор учащихся, творческие навыки;
воспитательные – создавать возможность для проявления индивидуальных способностей учащихся, развитие навыков к сотрудничеству;
образовательные – совершенствовать фонетические и лексические навыки, расширить словарный запас, активизировать знакомую лексику в речевых ситуациях, создать условия для спонтанной речи.
Оборудование и раздаточные материалы: мультимедийная установка, карточки с заданиями.
Тип урока: комбинированный урок
Технологии: игровая, групповая, современного проектного обучения, коммуникативного обучения иноязычной культуре, ИКТ.
Teacher: Good morning. I’m very glad to see all of you today.

Look at the screen & guess about the topic of our lesson.

Imagine that your English pen friend wants you to tell him about holidays in Russia & your favourite one.
What would you write him/her about?
Fill in the MM cards.
Discuss your variants in pairs to complete the card.
Sum up your answers in one sentence: “We are going to talk about…”

Every February 14th we celebrate Valentine’s Day by showing those around us how much we love and appreciate them!!!
Bishop Valentine sent love letters to the jailer’s daughter. How did he finish them?
Teacher: I hope that you will make valentines for all your friends (I mean girl-friends and boy-friends), for your family and teachers.
Teacher: There are many kinds of valentines nowadays. You can buy them everywhere. But I think that the best present is that one which is made by your hands. Now we are going to make such a valentine.
Teacher: You have got valentines on your desks. Before you write something on them let`s remember the poems and rhymes, which you can write. (Учащиеся читают стихи, рифмовки, пожелания) (Слайды) .
