WE LOVE ENGLISH”.

Good morning! We are glad to see you!

And we hope that the lovers of English have gathered here.

Nikita, do you know what learning language begins with?

Of course, with the alphabet. And now the pupils

of the second form will acquaint you with the English ABC.

What child doesn’t like fairy-tales! Fairy-tales accompany us from the early childhood and remain in our memory for the whole life.

Most of all, children like to perform the fairy-tales in English. One of them is a Russian folk fairy-tale “Little Turnip”.

You have a chance to see how the pupils of the 4th form do it.

Nikita, do like holidays?

Yes, of course. “Holidays”! Listen attentively to this word. It sounds solemnly. And you immediately imagine beautifully decorated streets and squares, much music and dancing, fireworks and salutes! It is when people are happy.

Well, let’s speak about the holidays English people celebrate. The most favourite holiday for both children and grown-ups is Christmas. It is celebrated on the 25th of December.

Some weeks before Christmas people send greeting cards to their nearest and dearest. They buy Christmas trees and decorate them.

And I know that before going to bed children put their stockings near their beds. At night Father Christmas comes and puts presents into the children’s stockings.

On this holiday children sing sings, dance and recite poems. Now the pupils of the 5th form will recite a poem about Christmas.

I suggest listening Christmas songs “Jingle bells” and “We wish you a merry Christmas” performed by the pupils of the 6th form.

And what can you tell about the New Year’s Day? I’ve heard not all of the English celebrate it. Those who do, celebrate it on the 31st of December.

It’s just the same as the Russian people do. And they also have a New Year party at home and at 12 o’clock they wish each other a “Happy New Year”, as in the song which the student of the 9yh form Тресенова Ксения will sing now.

Please, listen to short poems devoted to this holiday. The pupils of the 7th form Ковач Катя and Малик Инесса will recite them.(ученицы 7-ого класса читают стихотворение о празднике Новый год)

This holiday is celebrated by sending or presenting special Valentine cards and saying the words of love to their dearest. Let’s see how it is done by the students of the 8th form Игорь Артамонов and Катя Калугина.

Well, I guess that we have come up to the most romantic holiday of lovers St. Valentine’s Day. On this holiday people also sing lyric songs.

Now you’ll hear the song from the film “The bodyguard” performed by the student of the 11th form Фомина Дарья. (ученица 11-ого класса исполняет песню “I will always love you”)

There is no word dearer than a word “mother”. And English people celebrate Mother’s Day in March. On that day all mothers get flowers and presents.

And now listen to a touching poem “”My mother” performed by the pupils of the 5th form.

As you see the pupil of the second form Клевакин Кирилл who recited this short poem wants his mother to be happy.

Children all over the world want their mothers to happy.

And they also want that may there always be sunshine and may there always be blue skies.

So, listen to the song “May there always be sunshine” performed by the pupils of the 6th form.

Now our concert has come to the end.

The leaders of the concert were the students of the 10th form Никита Филиппов.

Together: Thank you for attention.
