 “ The irony of multitasking is that it's exhausting: when you're doing two or three things simultaneously, you use more energy than the sum of energy required to do each task independently. You're also cheating yourself because your're not doing anything excellently”   “ Most of the time multi-tasking is an illusion. You think you are multitasking, but in reality you are actually wasting time switching from one task to another”

 Julia is a typical “Generation M” teenager. 1) Children who multi-task have problems with focusing and understanding information. 2) There is no need to turn off TV when doing homework. 3) Reading doesn’t help kids to focus better. 4) If you can’t recall what you read the evening before –it may be a sign that multi-tasking is a culprit. 5) Being able to perform several activities nowadays is a necessary skill but knowing how to focus on one activity is much more critical for the development of kids.
