С ИСПОЛЬЗОВАНИЕМ МЕТОДА "SIX" THINKING" HATS"
ЦЕЛИ фрагмента: формирование критического мышления обучающихся на основе использования метода «Шесть шляп мышления»; совершенствование умения высказывать свою точку зрения, доказывать ее; развитие навыков обучения в сотрудничестве; воспитание уважения к мнению других людей.
ОСНАЩЕНИЕ ФРАГМЕНТА: шляпы и картинки с изображением разноцветных шляп; текст учебника; речевые образцы, презентация.
ХОД ФРАГМЕНТА
I. ВСТУПИТЕЛЬНОЕ СЛОВО УЧИТЕЛЯ
1. Приветствие. - Good morning, children! I am glad to see you.
I want you to greet our guests, English teachers of Bakhchisaray District.
How are you? -
I see you are OK and I hope you are ready to start today’s lesson.
Let’s begin our lesson. I want you to be very attentive and tolerant to each other, respect your classmates’ opinions.
2. Определение темы урока.
T - Look at the screen and try to explain some words in short:
How can you explain the word Donation? – (money or goods that we give to help a person or organization or the act of giving);
The next word Value – (The amount of money that can be received for something);
And who is Volunteer? – (a person who does something especially helping other people);
What is Love? – (to like another person very much and be attractive to them, to have strong feels);
Charity – (a system of giving money, food, help free to those who are in need because they are ill, poor, have no home);
Respect – (politeness, honor, care shown towards someone or something that is considered important).
T - And how can we say them in one word – KINDNESS.
T - How do you think what will we speak about? - About KINDNESS.
Yes, the theme of our lesson is: «The good we do today becomes happiness tomorrow».
3. Целеполагание.
T - Look at the blackboard and tell me please what will we practice in? – … in speaking, critical thinking and discussing, using 6 thinking hats …
T - And what will we use today? – We’ll use SIX THINKING HATS.
T - OK. We’ll use the method of SIX THINKING HATS. It helps us to discuss the text «The life on the streets» from different points of view.
II. РАБОТА ПО ТЕМЕ УРОКА.
1.Warming - up
T - But first, I would like to show me how well you understand and remember what tasks are performed by these colored hats. (Each hat is a different style of thinking):
So, The White Hat calls for information, facts, figures.
The Red Hat says about feelings and emotions.
The Black Hat tells us about negative, effects risks, obstacles.
Under the Yellow Hat one looks at positive effects of the decision.
The Green Hat focuses on creativity.
The Blue Hat is used to control the thinking process.
2.Работа в группах:
T - We read the text «The life on the streets». Let’s remember
- What is this text about?
- Who is the main character?
- What happened with her?
- Why did she become a homeless?
T - Now let’s work in groups. I want you to express your way of thinking about the topic by wearing a range of different “thinking hats”.
а) Распределение учащихся на 6 групп.
б) Вручение группам цветные шляпы.
T - I would like K., I., and T. wear White hat.
The red hat is for ….
в) Работа в группах c текстом
T - Well. You have to take hats and prepare for the discussing.
Now, open you textbooks, please, and read the text "A life on the streets" (page 84, ex.2) and try to formulate your points of view. I give you 5 minutes.
3. Обсуждение прочитанного.
Монологические высказывания обучающихся по вопросам.
T - Now I want everybody to put on your Hat and speak your tasks using the text. Now I can see you are ready to express your own opinion.
The White Hat
What information have you got from the text?
What can you say about the numbers 16, 22, 1200?
Whom is this text about?
The Red Hat
What do you think Jasmine’s life was like?
How did the title of the text make you feel?
Which adjectives best describe Jasmine’s feelings?
The Black Hat
What can you say about the Jasmine’s life?
Did she know how to survive?
What did she do to survive?
The Yellow Hat
Why are you optimistic?
What positive is there in the text?
How did the government help people in a difficult situation?
The Green Hat
What can you advice to do people in a difficult situation?
What can you advice to the governments of different countries?
Have we to help such people? How can we help?
The Blue Hat –
Make the Process Control.
Focus on different points of the teen’s problems.
What can we do for them?
T - OK, it was interesting to know your ideas. And finally B. And Y. put on your Blue hats and sum up the discussion.
The Blue hat –
P1-Wearing the Blue Hat we’ll make the Process Control and focus on different points of the teen’s problems and what can we do for them.
P2 –We know that there are many people in difficult situations. I think we have to help them. What can I do for them? For example:
It’s me. And these are 3 men.
I want to help them, to do something what they can’t do themselves.
Then they’ll help to other 3 men. It will be 9.
And each of them will do good things to 3 men too. It will be 27.
I think that world isn’t so bad and life will be better.
T – Children, how do you think – How can you help such people? (презентация)
And what about you? - Do you like to help? – Whom do you like to help?
IV. Подведение итогов фрагмента, выставление и комментирование отметок.
T: Thank you, girls and boys for you good work. I’m going to give you excellent marks.
T: What have you learnt today?
P: I have leant
-to express my personal opinion and give reasons for it.
-to express my way of thinking about the topic by wearing different ‘thinking’ hats.
- to think facts, figures
-to look at problems using intuition and emotions
- to use critical judgment
-to use positive judgment
-creative way of thinking
