Тема: good news, bad news

Цели урока:

Практические: к концу урока учащиеся смогут использовать новые лексические единицы в небольших высказываниях, а также составлять монологическое высказывание по теме «Profession».

Общеобразовательные:

• расширение общего кругозора.

• Расширение словарного запаса.

Воспитательные:

• формирование навыков интеллектуального труда.

Развивающие:

• развитие языковой и речевой догадки.

• развитие мышления, памяти.

Языковой материал:

Новый: boss, office, builder, vet, journalist, secretary, dentist, receptionist, mechanic, author.

Для повторения: фонемы [s], [ʃ].

Оснащение урока: компьютерная презентация, аудиозаписи 103, 104.

Ход урока

I. Подготовка учащихся к речевой деятельности на английском языке.

1. Организационный момент.

T: Good morning, guys. I’m glad to see you.

P: Good morning. We are glad to see you too.

T: Who is on duty today? What date is it today?

P: It’s the 15^th of February.

T: What day is it today?

P: It’s Monday.

T: Who is absent today?

P: …

T: Ok. Thank you.

2. Сообщение целей урока.

T: Today we are going to start Unit 15 and learn some interesting words.

3. Фонетическая зарядка.

1) Презентация материала.

T: But at first tell me: Do you like tongue-twisters? Who knows what is a tongue-twister? A tongue-twister means скороговорка. Let’s try to read this one.

She sells seashells by the seashore.

2) Контроль понимания.

T: Write it down in your copybooks. Ok guys, do you understand what it is about? What is “seashells”? What is “the seashore”? What is “ to sell”? (прием семантизации – иллюстративная наглядность)

T: Do you understand the tongue-twister better now?

P1,2: Yes.

4) Фонетическая отработка материала в последовательности звук-слово.

T: Pay attention to the sounds [s] and [ʃ]. Pronounce them distinctly after me (T-C):

[s] – sell, sea

[ʃ] – she, shell, shore

T: And again: sell, sea, she, shell, shore. Well done, thank you.

5) Фонетическая и интонационная отработка скороговорки в хоровом и индивидуальном режимах.

T: Now read the tongue twister after me starting with the last word.

T: Now I will ask somebody to read it for the class.

P 1,2,3: She sells seashells by the seashore.

T: Great. Thank you. Guys, can you guess what profession she has?

P: She is a saleswoman.

T: You are right. What other professions do you know?

P:….

T: Good. Let us open the classbook.

II. Введение нового языкового материала.

1. Презентация нового лексического явления.

T: Exercise 1 p.108. Here you can see some professions. Looking at the pictures you can guess what they mean. (способ семантизации – беспереводный, прием - иллюстративная наглядность). Is everything clear? Write them down with their transcriptions.

1. Фонетическая отработка в хоровом и индивидуальном режиме.

T: Listen and read the words after the announcer.

Подстановочное упражнение.

T. ОЗУ: Listen to me carefully. Agree or disagree with me.

T: A boss gives orders to the workers in his office.

P: I agree with you. A boss gives orders to the workers in his office.

T: An office is a place in which people have a rest.

P: I don’t agree with you. An office is a place in which people work.

T: A builder builds up houses.

P: I agree with you. A builder builds up houses.

T: A vet treats people’s teeth.

P: I don’t agree with you. A dentist treats people’s teeth.

T: An author writes books.

P: I agree with you. An author writes books.

T: A mechanic repairs clothes.

P: I don’t agree with you. A mechanic repairs cars.

1. Введение новой темы.

T: Look at exercise 2. Here you can see the dialogue. Listen to it and be ready to say what news Dad says to his children.

Listening…

T: So, what news does Dad say to his children?

P1,2: He has got a new job, the children will have to change schools, they will go to Australia and will go to school with their cousins.

T: Good. Thank you. Now read the dialogue silently (про себя) and then I will ask you to read it in role.

P: (читают по ролям).

T: Good of you.

T: Please, answer my question.

2. Where did he have to go after the calling?

T: Choose who you would like to be: a builder, a vet, a journalist, a dentist, a receptionist, a mechanic or an author, a boss. Explain your choice. Use phrases:
