Урок английского языка в 9-ом классе по теме «Travelling? It’ cool!”

Цель урока: совершенствование иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся по теме «Путешествие? Это круто!».

Задачи урока:

1. Практическая: тренировать учащихся в устной речи. аудированию и чтению по теме;

2. Образовательная: ознакомить учащихся с зарубежными странами, информировать обучающихся по данной теме;

3. Развивающие: развивать логику мышления, расширять кругозор, лингвистическую и социокультурную компетенции;

4. Воспитательная: воспитать чувство уважения к родной и мировой культуре.

Оснащение урока: компьютер, видеопроектор, экран, видеофильм, открытки, фотографии, раздаточные материалы.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент.

Good morning, children! Ноw are you? Today is the 10^th of March and we are having a very unusual lesson- we are having the guests from all our Republic! Let’s say: “Nice to meet you!”

Let’s begin our lesson. You are sitting in groups because during the lesson we’ll have some kinds of competition, OK?

(Для того, чтобы сразу окунуть детей в иноязычную атмосферу, учитель предлагает следующее: «Давайте, ребята, представим самих себя нашим друзьям: какие мы пришли сегодня на урок? Для этого охарактеризуйте себя прилагательными из букв своего имени»)- Tell me, please, how you are today. For example, I am Daria, and I am delicate, active, responsible, initiative and accurate today. Masha, how can you characterize today? (Masha says: I am mysterious, attractive, serious, honest and attentive today. Etc…) ( 3 мин)

Now look at the screen and tell me what we are going to speak about. Can you guess it?

На экране проецируется слайд о видах путешествия и ученики догадываются о теме урока: Yes, you are right, today we are going to travel along several foreign countries. I like travelling very much and what about you? What countries did you visit? ..Did you like it? …..(2 мин)

1. Речевая зарядка. С помощью спайдографа на экране учитель спрашивает у учащихся, почему люди любят путешествовать. (5 мин)

So, millions of people go travelling every year on their holidays. And why do people travel? Can you tell me the reasons?

Возможные ответы (проецируются на экране):

People travel :

• to see other countries

• to enjoy sightseeing

• to learn other cultures

• to improve English and other languages

• to meet different people

• to taste different food

• to swim in the warm seas

• to represent their country.

Yes, you are right! Representing of your country is a very important reason, I believe. You should travel not only to see other countries, but also try to show your culture- your singing, dancing, playing khomus, books, cards to foreign people. You should tell everything about your native Republic… Yes!

… On this photos you see the children of Churapcha gymnasium. They are taking part in the International festival in Paris in 2010.

1. Работа с лексическими единицами. На экране проецируются словосочетания по теме. После фонетической отработки дети должны найти соответствующие переводы: (4 мин)

T: Now, children, let’s train our new words for today. (4 мин)

Look at the screen and repeat after me:

IY. Аудирование. Дети смотрят слайды и слушают рассказ учителя о поездке в Тайланд, и, таким образом учитель подготавливает их к смотру видеофильма о Тайланде.

So children, as I’ve already said, I like travelling very much. Last summer I was in Thailand. and had a wonderful time there. Now I listen to my story, please:

So it’s a very unusual, exotic and friendly country - The Country of Smiles. There are a lot of interesting places to see – I went on excursions, saw magnificent temples, beautiful gardens and parks. Of course, swimming in the sea was my dream so I swam a lot in the Sea with sandy beaches. …It’s our swimming pool. … And here you see me in the Royal Palace in Bangkok- it’s a fantastic place, you see. So it was a very exciting and unforgettable trip for me.

Now I want you to watch a videofilm about Thailand and do some tasks after it. But before it let’s see some words:

Затем учащиеся смотрят учебный видеофильм на английском языке и выполняют задания. (13 мин)

Y. Игра на отгадывание видов транспорта (Guessing game) (2 мин)

Are you tired? Let’s have a small rest and play a guessing game.

When we go travelling we choose the kinds of transport. Now, children, read about the ways of travelling and try to guess what transport is hidden here.

На экране проецируются виды транспорта. Учащиеся делятся на 3 группы, читают и стараются догадаться, о каком виде транспорта идет речь:

P1 is reading: It’s the quickest and most comfortable way of travelling. You can cover long distances in no time. But it’s also very expensive. (travelling by plane)

P2 is reading: This kind of transport has comfortable dining and sleeping cars. And people can enjoy the nature and passing-by cities, villages from the windows of carriages. (travelling by train)

P3 is reading: It’s a water transport. You can travel along rivers, seas, even oceans on its wonderful board enjoying fresh air and beautiful nature around. (travelling by ship)

P4 is reading: It’s the most popular and the cheapest way of travelling. You can go on tours along several European countries by means of this transport. (travelling by bus)

(учитель раздает смайлики)

YII. Практика диалогической речи. С помощью опор на экране дети разговаривают друг с другом о своих любимых видах путешествия.

So I know you like travelling very much. Now look at the screen and make dialogues about your favourite ways of travelling:

A: I like travelling by plane. I find it the most comfortable and… And what about you?

B: To be honest, I don’t like travelling by plane. I find it stressful and dangerous. I prefer…

It’s enjoyable and fantastic!

YII. Работа в группах. Практика чтения. Дети соревнуются по группам: учитель раздает в конвертах письма, где предложения разрезаны на куски. (4 мин). Дети должны быстренько восстановить письма и прочитать их.

Good job! Now let’s have a small competition again. Look at me! I‘ve got letters from my friends. But, unfortunately, my little son cut them into pieces. Please, help me to read them! Be quick, I’ll give you the time!

… You are ready, aren’t you? Now show me your letters, please! Oh? Thank you! Now I am ready to answer my friends.

Also I told them about our cruise to the Lena Pillars which I will never forget.

YIII. Проектная работа в группах. (10 мин)

. После подсчета очков победившая группа получает путевку в Лондон на самолете, вторая – в Америку на корабле, третья группа награждается путевкой в Европу на автобусный тур, чтобы после путешествия привести красивый буклет об этих странах и рассказать о них (детям раздаются заранее подготовленные материалы, т.е. открытки, карточки, фломастеры и т.д. для работы с буклетом).

C помощью раздаточных материалов дети подготавливают букеты о посетивших странах.

Now we are having the most interesting moment! Let’s count our goals. And here are the packets of documents! So Group number … is a winner and gets a travel card to London by plane (by the quickest transport). Group Number … is the second prize-winner and gets a travel card to America by ship. Group Number… gets a travel card to Paris by bus.

So go travelling! Then you will be journalists, prepare nice booklets and tell us about the countries you have visited.

IX. Практика монологической речи. Каждая группа рассказывает о своей поездке с помощью составленного буклета. (5 мин)

OK, you are ready, aren’t you? Let’s listen to your reportings. The first group is going to tell us about…

X. Подведение итогов. Рефлексия.

So, children, today at the lesson I liked your work very much- thank you for your good job! And your hometask is to prepare booklets about the sights of Yakutia for the foreign tourists. I give only excellent marks- “5” for everybody!
