I believe, that professional choice may be considered as one of the most important decisions in someone's life.

Since the very young age I was good at learning foreign languages. I definitely wanted to associate my profession with languages. When graduating college as a translator I did not feel well about my future job in this field - I had no passion for this. So I decided to try to teach children as a personal tutor. That was the time when I felt, that I needed to continue my education and become more qualified for teaching.

It needless to say, that while trying t teach English, I understood how much I liked working with children and giving them the knowledge I had.

Now I understand, that being a good teacher is more than just enjoying communication with children. It is very challenging and requires constant self-education. It really pushes me, because I like struggling with my bad traits (one of them is laziness). Also, to become a teacher one needs to know how to communicate with people with views different from theirs. This feature is very helpful in the world outside the classroom as well.

So, the main reason why I want to become a teacher is self-development. Because we, as teachers, need to progress all the time even after graduating.
