The teacher in my Life.

It is difficult to say who is a teacher in my life because I can exactly say that my parents, my teachers at school and the Institute are those.

But I`d like to tell you about a teacher who has an indelible trace in my life, in choosing my profession. I can say without the slightest hesitation that she played a great part in my making as a person. First of all a few words about her. She is a teacher of English. Her name is Galina Egorovna Kot. She is my best and true friend. It is really so.

I have known her since my schoolyears. the teacher had begun to teach me when I was in the fourth form and till the tenth form. i must notice that I liked her at first glance. She was pretty, neatly dressed and besides she had darken spectacles. In a word, she was attractive. I was on the top of the world from that teacher. By nature she was intelligent, kind-hearted, considerate and honest. I think it`ll take much time to enumerate many others traits of her character. She was able to hear out and understand. That`s the very reason why I have complete confidence in her. More than that she infected me with her subject. I`ve liked English since that time. Her lessons were interesting, amusing and effective. She sticked to untraditional methods of teaching. During her lessons we touched upon different problems. And it was interesting to get to know something new and new every day.

She liked to cite such words "The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives". It is a pity I don`t remember whom these words belong to. I am sure that she is an ideal teacher. Her personal and professional qualities worked together. They cannot exist apart from each other. Maybe she has such an inborn talent to be a good teacher. And even now I maintain friendly relations with her. that`s why I`ve choosen this profession and it`s my cup of tea. © (the composition was written by me in 1992 when I was a student of the fourth course of the English/French faculty at the Teachers` Training Institute in Lipetsk)

P. S. I must admit that at school I had to study German because my parents and brother learnt it.and I knew the teacher of the German language. So we don`t know what destiny has planned for us.
