Task 1. Read the text.
For Those Who Watch TV
a)Channel Four. It begins working at five o”clock a. m. If you want to have a pleasant morning, you should switch on Channel Four. You will see here short films and quizzes about flowers and trees growing in different parts of the world. In the afternoon an experienced biologist will tell you about how to care of rare kinds of trees and flowers and offer you to buy some of them for your garden. In the evening your children can watch a filmed fairy tale in which the characters are talking plants. You will sleep well after watching such a film. On Sundays you can see documentaries about the English garden. You know that the English are great lovers of gardening.
b)Channel Two. It usually works at night. If you do not sleep at night, channel two will help you spend your time. Here you can see old Russian and Soviet films. Some of them are black and white. By the way, these films are very popular with people who are fifty and older. At two o”clock comedies are usually shown and at four o”clock you can watch concerts of singers who were very popular in the middle of the twentieth century. You will be impressed by their beautiful voices a lot.
c)Channel Three is for animal lovers. Here BBC films about wild life are shown every day. Channel three also broadcasts talk shows about pets and these programs are very popular because a lot of people have pets and they would be happy to participate in such talk shows. Besides, on channel three you will see documentaries about animal lovers who keep dangerous animals at home such as crocodiles and tigers. So, if you spend some time watching programs on channel three, your day will not be boring.
