- Good morning, I am glad to see you. Sit down, please.

So, I think we are ready to start our lesson.

How are you?

During our lesson we are going to discuss a very important problem. Now look at the screen and try to guess the topic of our discussion.(слайд 1)

Teacher: So today we`re going to speak about ecological problems and the theme of our lesson is “Save the Earth!”(«Спасите Землю!») (Слайд 2)

One of the most important problems in our life is the pollution of the environment. People all over the world are worried about what is happening to the environment. They understand that the Earth is their common home, a big green home. We`ll discuss the problems of the environment today.

Teacher: I`d like to begin our lesson with the question: What problems are there in the environment today? Think a little.

Could you name all these problems in English?

So, the aim of our lesson to get to know the new words and phrases, so that you will be able to discuss the problems of the environment

Teacher Look at the pictures and try to guess the translation of the words

- a power station\factory

- toxic fumes

- factory waste

- acid rain

- polluted clouds

- air, water and soil pollution

- loss of natural habitat

- fish and plant species dying

Now do the task in your exercise books.

You are to match the phrases with their translation using the vocabulary at the end of your books and write them.

Who will be the first, will go to the screen to do the task for mark.

Teacher: During our lessons I’ve been trying to convince you that environmental problems are very important. People and their actions are responsible for bad air, unclean water, and polluted land. It’s our common fault and now we should not only stop and think but do something to make the situation better. First of all, let’s follow these simple rules which must be a law for us.
