Theme: Unit 9 Domestic animals

Lesson1 I`ve got a horse

Objectives: Educational:

-to learn how to say animals and colours;

-to learn how to say what one has got;

-to learn the use of the conjunction “and”

Developing:

-to enable pupils to speak about colours and animals -to enable pupils to understand and perform commands

-to enable pupils to say what they have got

Socio-cultural:-to raise awareness of the use of

“Good morning”;

-to raise awareness of domestic animals and the ways of saying their colours;

-raise awareness of the pronunciation of the sound [i:]

Learning outcomes: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

-say “Good morning”;

-speak about colours and animals

- say what they have got

- use of the conjunction “and”

- perform commands

-pronounce the sound[i:]

Vocabulary and structure: Good afternoon, I`ve got…, sheep cow, chick, horse, goat, rooster, and.

Required equipment: textbook; the DVD of the book; flashcards: sheep cow, chick, horse, goat, rooster, commands

Teacher: Good morning, dear pupils

Pupils: Good morning

T: Are you OK?

P: Yes

T: Let`s begin our English Lesson.

P: Yes

T: Activity 1 Let`s play the game “Good afternoon”. People always greet each other when they meet. They say Good morning only in the morning and “Good afternoon” in the afternoon. Repeat after me it. (Pupils repeat in chorus). Pronounce the word “Good bye!”(Pupils pronounce)

The rules of the game are following:

  1. Madina will stand by the door and will not look at the others

  2. Hasanboy says loudly “Good afternoon”.

  3. Madina should guess and answer “Good afternoon, Hasanboy”.

  4. Ifshe has guessed right, Hasanboy tells her “Good afternoon”.If she has made a mistake, hasanboy answers “Good bye!” (Pupils play this game)

T: Activity 2 Look, listen and repeat.I introduce new vocabulary sheep cow, chick, horse, goat, rooster, and structure “I`ve got…”. Look at the picture and say what you have got , what it`s colour?(All pupils say “I`ve got a … It`s…._

T: Activity 3 Play “it`s grey” One of you say the colour and the class should name the animal

(Pupil: It`s grey. The class: “a goat”)

T: Activity4 Look and do. Let`s do the physical exersice and repeat the commands “SKY!,SKATE!,PLAY HOCKEY!,PLAY SNOWBALLS,GO!,JUMP!, RUN!,SWIM!, SLEEP!,CLIMB!,FLY!,DANCE!,STAND UP!, SIT DOWN!”

T: Pupils your homework will be to the next lesson to complete drawing and to colour the pictures on the right hand page. Our lesson is over
