Предлагаю вашему вниманию конспект урока для 6 класса по теме "Мой день". Программа О.В. Афанасьева, И.В. Михеева "Новый курс английского языка для российских школ. 2-й год обучения". Задачи урока: активизация ЛЕ по теме, тренировка навыка чтения, говорения,  аудирования, закрепление навыка обозначения времени. Конспект урока может использоваться для преподавания в начальной школе, сочетается с программой по учебнику Enjoy English (3 кл), и Spotlight (5 кл.)

Тема: «Мой день» (6 кл., программа О.В. Афанасьева, И.В. Михеева «Новый курс английского языка для российских школ», 2й год обучения)


Задачи урока: активизация ЛЕ по теме урока; тренировка навыка чтения, говорения, аудирования; закрепление навыка обозначения времени.

Ход урока

  1. Орг. момент.

Good morning, children. Nice to meet you today.

Who is on duty today?What date is it today? What day of the week is it? What is your hometask?

Now, look at the board. Here you can see some pictures. Can you guess what the theme of our lesson is? Yes, you are right. The theme is «My day»

So, first, let's start with a tongue twister. Repeat after me:

Early to bed

Early to rise

Makes a man healthy

Wealthy and wise

Can you translate the rhyme? Very well, thank you.

Now, as our theme is «My day», let's name the activities that are depicted on the blackboard. (to get up, to wash face and hands, to clean teeth, to have breakfast, to do exercises, to have lunch, to do homework, to play with toys, to play on the computer, to watch TV, to go to bed) Well done.

4.1.Read the text and fill in the headings.

I have a friend. Her name is Mary. She is twelve. Mary is a pupil. She lives in a small town in America. She has a little family and lives with her mother and brother.

Mary gets up at half past seven in the morning. She has a shower, dresses, and has breakfast. Mary usually has bacon and eggs for breakfast. She has tea with milk too. Sometimes she has a cake. She likes cakes.

At a quarter past eight Mary always goes to school. Her school is in Green Street. She has five or six classes five days a week. She likes reading and can read very well. Mary is a good pupil.

At half past four Mary goes home. She is at home at half past five. She helps her mother with cooking. Sometimes she plays on the computer. Sometimes she reads books or watches television in the evening. Mary goes to bed at ten o'clock.


4.2. Read the fourth part of the text aloud. Be attentive, mind your reading/ pronunciation


    1. Translate the third part of the text. Don't be in a hurry.


4.4. Read the whole text again and mark the statements 1-4 «yes» or «no»

4.5. Find in the text the following word combinations:

4.6. Answer the questions:

  1. Закрепление навыка обозначения времени

Ok, the clock says tick-tock. And you, children, do you remember how to tell the time? Please answer my questions:

How do we say if the clock shows 7 sharp?

What word do we use when we want to say 15 minutes? 30 minutes?

What preposition do we use when the minute hand goes down? Up?

What letters do we add when we want to show that the time is between 12 o'clock at night and 12 o'clock at noon? between 12 o'clock at noon and 12 o'clock at night?

Well done. Now, look at these clocks and say what time it is. Don't forget to add the necessary letters.
