The whole world and other countries

We live in the 21st century. This is the time when the world has entered a new historical phase. Communities, people, companies, goods, services and capital can move freely to where the best opportunities are provided. People freely choose their place of residence, work, acquire real estate, create enterprises and offer various trade and professional services anywhere in the world. A great deal of work is being done around the world to reorganize the distribution and retraining of staff, with a particular focus on language training.
People learn languages for different reasons, and the intention to make a career is just one of them. Another reason may be a simple interest in learning foreign languages. Already during the training, a person who plunges into another language environment is aware of his involvement in intercultural communication. When students write essays, watch and listen to movies, songs, TV and radio programs their minds are trained and their horizons expand.
Knowledge of foreign languages opens up the possibility of creating "global communities" where people understand and accept the world of each person through the understanding and acceptance of language.
Such intercultural communication provides an opportunity to expand access to education in the modern world.
Language does not exist outside of culture, is an integral part of it and performs the following functions in relation to culture:
1. Language as a repository of culture
2. Language as a cultural «mirror» of the world
3. Language as a transmitter of culture from generation to generation
4. Language is an instrument of culture, forming personality
5. Language is a tool for both self-preservation of the ethnic group and its separation from « strangers»
6. Language is a form of people's self-expression
The language reflects not only the real world around a person, but also his mentality, lifestyle, morality, traditions, attitude. Each language has its own way of representing the same reality. If for any object of the surrounding world there are not one, but several concepts, it means that it is of great importance for the people of this culture.
Between the word and the real object is man. The word does not reflect the object of reality itself, but the vision of man. This vision is imposed on the native speaker by the idea, the concept of this subject, which is present in his consciousness. The path from the real world to the concept and further to the verbal expression is different among different people, due to differences in the history, geography and life of these people. But it should be remembered that our consciousness is conditioned by both collective and individual factors. Thus, language reflects reality as if through two «mirrors» - collective and individual.
By assimilating a foreign language, a person simultaneously assimilates a foreign world. Foreign language learner penetrates the culture of native speakers of this language. On its primary picture of the world the secondary picture of the world of the studied language is layered. And this is a secondary picture-not so much a picture reflected by language as a picture created by it. This is a complex psychological process that requires a certain rejection of his primary "I".
