My New Year's Story

Hello! My name is Angelina, I am 9.Best of all I love New Year ! It's my favorite holiday.

On New Year's Eve, December 31st, my family decorates a big New Year tree . We put shiny balls, colorful lights, and tinsel on it. I like to hang the star on top!

We have a big dinner. We eat yummy food like chicken and Olivier salad. Then, we wait for midnight.

At 12 o’clock, we say "Happy New Year!" and cheer. We have a tradition to watch the fireworks outside at Central Square. They are so bright and loud!

The next day, January 1st, is first New Year's Day.

I wake up and find presents under the tree from Father Frost. I get best toys and sweets. Last year I had a beautiful pretty doll.
