Phrasal verb MAKE

  1. Study the rule:

make of

  • думать, иметь свое мнение / to think of, to have an opinion about

make off with

  • украсть / to steal and escape with something

make out

  • различить, разглядеть, расслышать, разобрать (слова и т.д) / to distinguish; to manage, to be able to see or hear some­thing, to see clearly

  • воображать, притворяться / to pretend that something is true

  • составлять документ, выписывать/ to write out, to fill in

make up

  • придумывать, сочинять / to say or write something that is not true, to invent a story

  • наносить косметику, краситься / to put cosmetics on

make up with (somebody)

  • помириться с кем-либо/ become friends again

make up for

  • компенсировать / to compensate for something bad that they have done or that has happened
