Brain storm

Questions:

T: First, who are on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent? Good for you.

T: What is your name? How old are you? How are you today? Where are you from? What’s your mother’s name? What’s your father’s name? What subjects do you like? What’s your hobby?

Aims

Look at the picture and say what the theme of our lesson is. Yes, you are right. Food and drink. What food and drink do you know?

Write down the date, class-work and the theme.

Today we will mark your answers on the big sheet of paper using colourfull sticks.

Excellent answer – green.

Good answer – yellow.

Not bad answer – pink.

Play a game – HOT BALL.

Give ball to each other. When you have a ball, you need say 1-2 sentences about last themes (Health). I will give you sticks.


Phonetic drill

Look at the b/board. Listen and repeat.

Cheese, sandwich, chicken, chocolate.

Juice, jam, vegetables, sausage.

Fish, sugar, dish, shubat, irimshik.

What sounds in each word do you hear?

Then read all together. Individual reading.

Presentation

1. Translate – Do you like fish?

Yes, I like. It is delicious.

No, I don’t like. It is horrible.

Work in pairs with pictures.

Ask and answer the questions using pictures. (for Zhenis: Do you like apples? Yes, I like. No, I don’t like.)

2. Countable – uncountable nouns. (for Zhenis: Match words to the pictures)

There are nouns what we can count and what we can not count.

F.ex.: apples, coffee

Ex. 2 – Study the words and translate. Repeat after me.

You have some pictures. Group pictures in 2 categories: countable, uncountable. And say what it is.

Practice and fastening

Ex. 3, p. 42 – complete the chart using words from ex. 2. Work in copybooks. (for Zhenis: Words with translation)

Kazakh traditional food

In Kazakhstan people eat a lot of meat. Their traditional food is the Kazakh meat. Kazakh people are very hospitable. When they invite guests they also cook pilaf, kuyrdak. They have some traditional milk products. They are kurt, irimshik. Their traditional drinks are kymyz, shubat. These drinks are very useful for our health.

Give each other sticks.
