Урок в 11 классе
Тема: «Век глобализации»/ «Age of Globalisation»
Цель: Обобщение изученного материала по теме «Globalisation», развитие навыков аудирования, совершенствование навыков устной речи, воспитание чувства причастности к глобальному миру.
Оборудование: Мультимедийное оборудование, карточки с положительными и отрицательными сторонами глобализации, видеоматериал.
Ход урока.
1. Приветствие и организационный момент начала урока.
T: Good morning children. I’m glad to see you. Sit down, please.
Last lesson we began to talk about globalization in the world. And today we are going to continue our theme “Age of Globalisation”. (Слайд 1) The aim of our lesson is to find out if we live in the global village.
For the first I’d like to give you some information. Look at the screen, please.
There are 6.5 milliard people in the world. (Слайд 2)
As you know there are three main races in the world. (Слайд 3)
There are 1000 ethnic groups and about 2000 languages in the world. And there are 193 independent states. (Слайд 4)
2. Речевая зарядка.
T: Now answer my questions, please. What can you say about all above information? You may use the words on the board. ( The words on the board: economy, language, religion, traditions and customs, culture, nature, climate, history)
P1: Counties have different level of economy.
P2: People have different languages and religion.
P3: They have own traditions and customs.
T: You are right. But what is the reason of these differences?
P1: I think climate may play a great role.
P2: It may be historical way of nation. Every nation, ethnic groups have their individual way of developing.
T: Thank you for your answers.
T: Nowadays, when we talk about globalisation we think about changes in people’s life, in their culture, economy, politics, society and environment. (Слайд 5)
But globalization has positive and negative points. Do you agree with me?
3. Работа в группах.
T: Now let’s work in 2 groups. On your desks you can see sheets of papers. There is a list of bad and good points of globalization. The first group will tick only positive points and the second group will tick only negative points. (You have 2 minutes)
T: Time is over. Let’s check. Good of you.
T: As you know from the last lessons all people wear the same clothes, eat the same food, watch the same films, read the same famous writers. (Слайд 6)
So what else are involved in Globalisation? (Слайд 7,8)
You know everybody from small children to adults have mobile phones, use laptops. So what is a TNCs? (These are companies which have affiliates in other countries)
Now match the things with their companies.(Слайд 9)
4. Аудирование.
T: Our next task is to listen to the young people, what they think about globalisation.
5. Контроль понимания прослушанного.
T: Now do the exercise 17 on page 121.(mark True, false)
Look at the board and check yourself. Keys on the board: 1.True 2.False. 3. False. 4.True 5.True 6.True.
6. Рефлексия.
T: Well, look at the pictures on the screen. (Слайд 10) These pictures are from the International Music festival “Ustuu-Huree” in our republic. There are many musicians from different countries such as the USA, Holland, France and different cities of Russia. We are the part of this culture. Have you ever seen this festival?
Let’s watch the video of famous group from the USA “SUNRA”. They took part in this festival several times.(Видеозапись)
7. Подведение итогов.
T: Well, let’s make a conclusion.
1. Can you say that you already live in the global village?
2. What is globalization for you? (easily phone to another city or country, chat with friends through the Internet, use the modern technologies of the world, travel around the world, etc.)
8. Домашнее задание.
T: Now write down your homework, please.
Write about the future of our village.
