Сейчас в каждом доме на Рождество стоит елка. В древние времена вечнозеленые деревья были символом жизни. Елку украшают мишурой , игрушками, зажигают огоньки.

8.Рождественские подарки

Согласно рождественской легенде, жил в давние времена один бедный человек. У него умерла жена и он остался с тремя дочерьми. Девушки не могли выйти замуж, т.к. были бедны. Однажды в канун Рождества они выстирали чулки и развесили их перед камином. Санта Клаус решил помочь девушкам и бросил в каждый чулок по золотому слитку. С тех пор в рождественскую ночь дети развешивают чулки перед камином, дают обещание, а утром находят в них подарки.
