 Once there lived an old woman and a man.  They had got a nice, clever, and pretty hen.  Every day it gave eggs from one to ten  So, what was a nice Riaba Hen.

One day in the basket granny found  an egg. It was gold, firm and round. Granny was pleasant, happy and glad She took her find and ran to granddad.

The granddad was serious, calm and good He put the egg on the table and look,

He wanted to break it, but he couldn ’ t do it He was angry and shouted and then he threw it!

They didn ’ t break the gold egg down  Their faces became red and brown The granny tried to crack it again But all their actions , alas, in vain.

A grey little animal, called the mouse decided to visit the grandparents ’ house.  It ran and waved with its tail and leg  And broke this wonderful golden egg

 The Gran and her husband became sad.  Now they didn ’ t have a beautiful egg.  The old woman cried and so did he,  They didn ’ t want even to drink their tea.

A nice kind Hen! It promised to give not golden but common egg to leave.
