Third Conditional
If + past perfect + would+have+verb3 if-clause + main clause ( past perfect) (would+have+verb3)
This type of sentence is sometimes called an Impossible Condition. It refers to things in the past , and it is impossible to change things that happened in the past
examples
Last week my friend sold his car, it cost five hundred dollars. If I had had five hundred dollars, I would have bought it.
