Objectives: - to learn 3 forms of irregular verbs;

                   - to know, what is past participle?    

                    -to practise in reading, listening and pronunciation;

                    -to develop speaking skills talking about experiences

T: You have got an envelope on your desk. Take them and find the list of words. -- -What part of speech do they belong? (Verbs)

 -What do you know about English verbs? ( They can be regular and irregular).

 -Are these verbs regular or irregular? (Irregular)

 -Read and translate them.

  • Practice vocabulary

Windy, empty, was hungry, was tired, search for, decide, cyber café=Internet café, Boogle search engine, natural disaster, amazing, asteroid, land, incredible explosion, impossible, ancient, believe.

 

  • Pre-reading
  • Look at the first picture.

Where are Max and Candy? (on/at the beach)

  • Are there any people on the beach? (no, they aren’t)
  • What are Max and Candy doing? (They’re searching for the palm-top computer)
  • Will the find it? Why not? (No, they won’t. Because Danny has got it)

Look at the second picture. Where are the four friends now? (in a cyber café)

  • What is Danny doing? (He’s looking at something on a computer.)

Look at the third picture

  • Are Max and Candy inside or outside? (outside)
  • What does Candy look like? (She’s angry)

 

  • While listening/reading

Answer the title question What have people found?

  • After reading
  • What (information) did Danny find out? (six other disasters with the red stuff)
  • What did Lee find out? (Old book)
  • Where have they seen the map in the book before? (on the palm-top computer)
  • What happens when Max walks past the cyber café?  (He sees the kids with his  computer)

-Find the correct answer in the story and underline it.

- Translate them into own language.

  • Practise reading the conversation in groups of four and act out in front of the class.
