Цель:
обучающая – развитие речевых умений и навыков;
развивающая – развитие творческих способностей учащихся, способностей к сравнению и сопоставлению полученных знаний;
воспитательная – формировать культуру чтения, интерес и любовь учащихся к английской и немецкой классической литературе.
Задачи урока:
Совершенствование речевых умений.
Совершенствование навыков аудирования.
Совершенствование умения читать текст с детальным пониманием.
Обобщение и систематизация полученных знаний.

Ход урока
I. Организационный момент.
Good morning! I’m glad to see you.
II. Сообщение задач урока. (СЛАЙД 2)
T: Today we are going to speak about one of the most wonderful things in the world – books. We’ll answer the questions, read the texts and speak about books, about the importance of reading.
III. Фонетическая зарядка.
Let’s start our lesson with the poem. (СЛАЙД 3)
A BOOK (By Adelaide Love)
A book, I think, is very like
A little golden door,
That takes me into places
Where I’ve never been before.
It leads me into fairyland
Or countries strange and far.
And, best of all, the golden door
Always stands ajar.
What is the poem about?
Let’s translate some sentences. Let’s read it.

How many books have you got at home?
How old were you when you began reading?
Do you prefer to read books or magazines?

Open your textbooks at page 75 and let’s check up your home Ex. 63.
Look through the text.
What words did you pay attention at home? ( the only child in the family, science fiction, generation, ancient media, printed books, turn the pages over, imagine myself travelling everywhere…)
Translate last three sentences from the text
Answer the questions before the texts.
Let’s do Ex. 67 – Agree or disagree.
Take additional material and let’s speak about the importance of reading. Make up some sentences using these words and phrases:

Kinds of books: novels, stories, love stories, plays, poems, fairy-tales, fables, memories, textbooks, an encyclopedia, a dictionary, a CD book, a printed book.
Genres: fiction, science-fiction, historical, detective, fantastic, horror, thriller, adventure, travel book.

Write a topic “The role of books in my life”, using additional material from the lesson.
