Well, Kate. Your great-grandparents, Edna and James, got married in 1948. They were living in London then. They had three children-my father George, my aunt Cathy and my uncle Bob. Your grandfather married your grandmother Chloe in 1968 and they moved to Cardiff. I was born in 1969 and my sister- your auntie Tess-was born three years later. Though we have many cousins on our father’s side of the family, we never see them. It’s a shame! I am glad that Tess and her husband Hugh, my brother-in-law, visit us regularly.

I turned 35 yesterday. Though my family I hate my birthday parties, they prepared a surprise party for me. And you know what? I enjoyed it!
