1. Организационный момент:

II. Predicting the theme.

Т: Let me begin our lesson with some riddles. If you guess them, you will know what we are going to speak about. Listen to me and think. 

1. You smile when you name it. The mouse likes it very much. (Cheese)

2. It is yellow and long. It is very tasty. (Banana)

3. It is red and round. We make salad from it. (Tomato)

4. It`s fruit. It`s yellow. I drink tea with it. What is it? (a lemon)


T: What are we going to speak about today? Have you got any ideas?
P: WE are going to speak about FOOD!

But before we start let’s train our tongues. Look at the screen and read the words.

I prepared a nice poem for you “Four Red Apples on the Tree”. Have a look at it and listen to me.

Four red apples on the tree,

Two for you and two for me.

So shake that tree and

Watch them fall.

One, two, three, four - that is all.

Do you like the poem? I believe you know the translation perfectly.

Now repeat the poem line by line. Mind the pronunciation. (хоровая имитация стихотворения). Read the poem in pairs. (Парное чтение) Reproduce the poem correctly. (Индивидуальное чтение стихотворения).

Класс делится на 4 группы, задача детей за 2 минуты найти как можно больше слов, обозначающих продукты.

Your task is: find as many names of food, as you can. I’ll give you 2 minutes. Ready, steady, go!

По истечении отведенного времени учитель останавливает игроков. Дети оглашают свои результаты. Победителями становятся те, кто правильно назовет больше всех слов.

Если слышат название фрукта - поднимают руки вверх, как будто снимают его с дерева, если слышат название овоща - садятся на корточки, как будто собирают его с земли, всё остальное - стоят ровно.
