1.“How can fairytales help comprehend reported speech?” by Ayagoz Meirmanova.
Complexity: The question makes a project quite challenging, as students should learn not only the sequence of tenses, but also to write or film their own fairytale. So it includes their creativity. Moreover the topic needs in much reading and learning before the question will be answered. To my mind, the level of complexity is totally appropriate for 7-8 grade students, and seems solvable and involving. 95%
Coherence: This EQ gives an opportunity to improve students’ grammar skills. So it’s a good chance to study on your own while you just read and enjoy. From my point of view, it’s a great chance to become a friendly team by dividing responsibilities and works for each other. So, as far as I understood, this project can raise the knowledge of English grammar, the literature, and the vocabulary (as they face many new words). 95%
Authenticity: Students can use the requirements of the 21-st century for making a fairytale, which makes the project much more interesting. Also they will use many kinds of digital tools for making a film. In this way, they could also develop their skills in the using technique. 98%
Possible corrections or additions: I would add “Listening” to the list of skills that could be improved in this project, not just “Reading” and “Writing”. To my mind, students could also do exercises connected with the listening of the fairytales.
My overall point is 96%
2.“How does classroom podcasting impact your English?” by Balgul Nurmakhamed.
Complexity: This EQ includes many activities and synthesis of information, that’s why it needs hard work for getting a good result. Also, as it is open-ended question it won’t be easy for them to find the answer immediately. 95%
Coherence :This project gives an opportunity to open the field of podcasts for students and check it on their own, what could stimulate their interest. So if we talk about its connection with their English, this project could affect on their speech (as they have to record) and listening ( as by listening they will do exercises) skills. 93%
Authenticity: This research is totally connected with the requirements of the 21-st century. It would be meaningful as nowadays, podcasts are considered as indispensible assistants of a learner and it concerns not only the language, but all fields of study.98%
Possible corrections or additions: What about disadvantages, I guess this project may seem a bit tricky and difficult for pre-intermediate students, as there are many new terms connected to the main topic and creating, uploading and editing the podcasts would be quite complicated for them. I would suggest this project to a bit elder students.
My overall point is 93 %
